Non mi pare di vedere niente di anomalo nel log di NetworkManager. Non è che il problema sia qui?

In teoria no, perché gli hard disk esterni erano spenti:

$ cat /etc/fstab | grep x-gvfs-show

Tra l'altro, ho sempre ottenuto

 $ systemd-analyze
Startup finished in 3.349s (kernel) + 2.307s (initrd) + 1min 30.418s (userspace) = 1min 36.075s

anche quando ci mettevo mezzo minuto ad accedere al Desktop, perché formalmente il boot viene considerato concluso solo quando va in timeout il tentativo di connessione agli hard disk esterni (prima di un minuto e mezzo posso lavorare regolarmente, per esempio aprendo un terminale, ma se digito "systemd-analyze" ottengo un errore perché il boot non è concluso).

Dunque, ho provato a commentare le righe di /etc/fstab relative agli hard disk esterni e riavviato.
Il risultato è il seguente:


1) Dopo un apparente tentativo di andare per un attimo in risoluzione grafica si torna a quella testuale, e aspetto sempre una ventina di secondi tra il messaggio "Adjusting tsc more than 11%" e il seguente;

2) il boot ci mette, tra la schermata di grub e l'entrata in gnome con login automatico, circa 50 secondi in tutto;

3) ma (sorpresa) non compare più il "FAILED" di prima:

Sorpresa, dopo aver aggiornato a Fedora 23 il boot è tornato a richiedere circa 30 secondi tra l'avvio di Grub e l'accesso al Desktop, e non si ferma più come prima per 20 secondi.
Non metto risolto, perché non ho capito bene la causa
