è da circa due settimane che ogni tanto sparisce il puntatore del mouse. disinserendo e poi re inserendo il connettore usb riprende a funzionare . Se provo ad terminare la sessione e ri aprirla dopo tre tentativi il mouse ritorna ,alla prima e seconda no.
Il mouse è quasi nuovo , la macchina desktop l’avevo assemblata quasi un anno fa , tutto nuovo a parte il case e il monitor.
ieri ho aggiornato il bios della scheda madre ,ma non è cambiato nulla , anche cambiando presa usb.
F 42 aggiornata.

Com’è con la tastiera? Quelle USB se iniziano a comportarsi male producono effetti strani, anche nell’uso col mouse. Nel mio caso era impossibile gestire la macchina.

grazie della risposta , la tastiera è Logitech K 120 usb , il mouse Logitech B100 usb .
La tastiera l’ho cambiata con la macchina perché la tastiera che avevo ,uguale ,ma con il connettore PS/2 e in casa non ho trovavo l’adattatore, quindi con la motherboard nuova ho dovuto comprare di corsa una tastiera con usb , visto che questa scheda madre non ha più l’ingresso con il connettore tipo PS/2.

Se un giorno qualsiasi vedrai comportamenti strani quali comandi mai dati, l’editor di testo che si comporta in maniera strana, mi è successo usando Kate, questo dipende dalla tastiera che manda segnali non corretti al sistema operativo, ma anche col mouse, se mal funzionante, succedono le stesse cose.

Logitech M 100 , non funziona per niente .
Qui, yum_yoshi, bisogna andare per esclusione per capire la causa del problema.

Non voglio fare assolutamente paragoni , ma con Windows 11 non lo fa , c’è da dire che non ho molte ore di test , nel senso che lo uso pochissimo ,però in quel poco che ho provato non si è verificato il problema.

possiamo escludere un problema fisico alla porta usb e/o al mouse visto che con win funziona senza problemi.
Se escludiamo anche l’auto-sospensione delle porte usb dal kernel, possiamo dare un’occhiata (dopo l’evento mouse che sparisce in quella sessione) a: sudo dmesg | grep usb
Potremmo anche sbirciare nei log degli ultimi 5 giorni con un journalctl --since "5 days ago" | grep usb
Infine si potrebbe, se necessario, (sei su GNOME con Wayland, giusto?) osservare una registrazione di eventi. Al momento se sei su Gnome+Wayland possiamo vedere un sudo libinput list-devices

il problema si è di nuovo verificato , ho aperto il terminale e dato il comando # dsmeg | grep usb
ma la risposta non l’ho potuta copiare ( ho fatto una foto con il telefono solo dell’ultima pagina) perché ero senza mouse e non sapevo altri metodi ; ho provato con varie combinazioni di tasti e con una , non ricordo se “alt + stamp” o “ctrl + stamp” si è chiuso il terminale, è ritornata la schermata precedente ed è ritornato il mouse. Riaprendo il terminale non ha in cronologia il comando dato.
comunque ho ridato il comando e lo posto ,però è con il mouse funzionante.

Sembra una disconnessione legata al driver usbhid del kernel.
Provaimo ad aspettare eventuali aggiornamenti, altrimenti potrebbe essere necessario aggiungere un’opzione usbhid.quirks al boot del kernel. Al momento aspetterei.
Nel frattempo vediamo un
lsusb
e da quello un
lsusb -s x:x -vvv
dove sostituirai le “x” con i valori “Bus” e “Device” relativi al tuo mouse.
Ad esempio se lsusb restituisce

Proprio oggi c’è stato un upgrade del kernel.
Prova a testare se dopo aver aggiornato con un sudo dnf upgrade --refresh il problema persiste.
Se ancora non è risolto possiamo aggiungere un’opzione al kernel, così:
sudo nano /etc/default/grub
nella riga GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX prima di rhgb quiet inserisci l’opzione:
usbhid.quirks=0x046d:0xc077:0x00000400
che corrisponde ai valori IdVendor e IdProduct del tuo mouse
Salva con un CTRL+O
Esci con un CTRL+X
Dai un
sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg per aggiornare GRUB
Fai un riavvio del sistema.
Vedi come si comporta.

si è verificato il problema.
Ho seguito le tue istruzioni , ma al comando
# grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
/etc/default/grub: riga 6: rhgb quiet: comando non trovato
(la stringa l’ho messa subito dopo “=” e lasciato uno spazio prima di " rhgb quiet" ; ho provato anche a mettere la stringa con le virgolette.)
allora ho rimesso tutto come era.
Ho scoperto che quando sparisce il puntatore del mouse , dando “ctrl + F4” ,ritorna tutto come prima , forse si chiude la finestra del browser ,ma non tutto quello aperto ,posta ,ect ,ect, proverò ancora .

Ho testato proprio ora le stesse istruzioni sulla mia macchina.
Funziona e grub viene aggiornato.
Riprova e controlla di non sbagliare qualcosa durante il copia/incolla del comando.
Magari prima di lanciare
sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
vediamo un
cat /etc/default/grub

ho rifatto il tutto e ho aggiornato il grub , nessun errore , tutto regolare.
Forse ieri il mio errore è stato nel mettere uno spazio tra
usbhid.quirks=0x046d:0xc077:0x00000400 e rhgb quiet
comunque ecco l’output

Molto bene, trovato l’errore.
La riga in oggetto deve contenere tutti i comandi del boot al kernel dentro le virgolette, ogni comando deve essere separato da uno spazio.
Quindi così:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="usbhid.quirks=0x046d:0xc077:0x00000400 rhgb quiet"
