Google Chrome chiude bruscamente la sessione

Salve a tutti…
A qualcuno capita che l’avvio di google chrome chiuda la sessione di lavoro in modo brutale dopo mezzo minuto di lavoro? Potrebbe essere legato all’installazione di un driver della scheda video?

Puoi provare ad avviare Chrome da terminale e postarci tutto fino al crash?

In realtà no perché appena compare qualcosa sul terminale istantaneamente vengo buttato fuori… e si chiudono tutti i processi… Prima di allora sul terminale non compare niente. Mi sono accorto che succede appena chiedo al browser di effettuare un caricamento. Se sta fermo non succede nulla.

  1. Che versione Chrome è? Quale repo stai utilizzando per l’installazione? Url?
  2. Hai provato a lanciarlo senza plugins?
$ google-chrome --disable-plugins
  1. Utilizzi una scheda nvidia? Driver proprietari? Se sì, com’è il tuo xorg.conf?

Per ovviare lla mancanza di output al comando del post #2 puoi provare così:

$ google-chrome |tee /home/albyx/output-crome.txt

dovrebbe stampare l’output a schermo e sul file indicato per cui anche se crasha tutto dovresti poter leggere cosa sia successo.

P.S.
il condizionale è d’obbligo perché qui non ho linux (a parte il server su cui non voglio sperimentare :slight_smile: ).

Ricordo che è una 30.* la mia versione di chrome… dovrebbe essere la più aggiornata.
Ho appena provato senza plugin e il problema persiste e no… utilizzo una scheda ati radeon HD 7560 o 7650 non ricordo di preciso :slight_smile: ho installato dei driver pur avendo capito che fossero pericolosi trovando la guida proprio in questo forum… se la ritrovo posto il link!

  • per quanto riguarda l’url ho provato in due modi… il primo scaricandolo direttamente dal sito ufficiale e installando l’rpm… il secondo usando un url… provero a ritrovarlo.

Ok, un repo solo.
Ultima cosa, poi non saprei dirti altro perché non uso chrome. Hai detto che hai installato i catalyst, puoi fare una prova se il problema persiste usando i mesa e poi i radeon (open)?

Ah, stamattina ho notato che succede soltanto per siti in remoto… Per caricare file in locale non c’è nessun crash…

Prova a rimuovere i driver proprietari

Funziona… erano proprio i driver… ma non c’è una soluzione sicura per mettere dei driver proprietari in fedora 19? Quelli open scaldano troppo per i miei gusti… è comunque un portatile…

La soluzione sicura è non usare i driver proprietari; su ati/amd si registrano esperienze quantomeno variabili con i proprietari. Se non hai necessità di usare openCL, calcolo GPGPU e altre amenità, i driver open vanno benissimo.

Se l’inconveniente avveniva solo sul (proprietario) chrome, magari solo col (proprietario) plugin flash - alcuni siti ambiscono a usare flash anche per caricare i file, offrendo soluzioni differenti come fallback - , puoi prendere in considerazione alternative ad entrambi.

Per quanto riguarda la temperatura, puoi provare l’estensione GNOME o il GUI python per testare diverse impostazioni per il power management, come ri-indicai http://forum.fedoraonline.it/viewtopic.php?pid=185145#p185145.

Se hai bisogno di aiuto estensivo circa l’amministrazione della temperatura sotto i driver open, apri una nuova discussione. Se vuoi indicare quando il crash avveniva, e.g. con flash ovvero solo con lo specifico flash plugin di Chrome, o su quale sito hai provato a caricare quando hai provato a disabilitare i plugin, continua pure qui.
