Come da oggetto con gli aggiornamenti di luglio la chiavetta internet alcatel x200 non viene piu’ rilevata dal processo modem-manager.
A partire dalla prima installazione funzionava bene poi non più.
Per farla andate devo smanettare da terminale con wvdial ma preferirei che me la rilevasse il modem-manager e relativo network-manager.
E’ possibile fare qualcosa?

Ho risolto scaricando e installando la versione iniziale di Modem-Manager con cui era stata rilasciata fedora 15:
rpm -Uvh --force /home/massimo/Scaricati/ModemManager-0.4-7.git20110201.fc15.i686.rpm
Adesso aspettando un poco appare la rete mobile nel network-manager.
A causa di un temporale vicino la bts è andata giù la rete wind e non riesco a connettermi neanche da win.
Comunque appena ripristinano la rete credo che funzioni.

Oggi hanno ripristinato la rete mobile Wind.
Confermo che funziona e nel network-manager ho anche il nome del gestore con il livello di segnale.
Ora mi devo ricordare di escludere sempre dagli aggiornamenti il pacchetto Modem-Manager.

basta aggiungere in:
# gedit /etc/yum.conf
la linea
exclude=ModemManager*
salva chiudi.
Scusate se mi intrometto, io non avevo fatto gli aggiornamente prorpio per non far aggiornare la chiavetta, avevo lo stesso problema. Posso modificare anche io
gedit /etc/yum.conf e escludere
exclude=ModemManager*
e poi aggiornare tutto?
