[Risolto] Come "monto" lo Zip750?

:slight_smile: Scanner e stampante adesso funzionano ( grazie a voi ) il problema adesso è… come "monto " lo Zip 750 ?
So che il comando sarebbe “mount” e per “smontarlo” dovrei usare “umount” e che Linux individua le periferiche di massa con hd,fd,cd… ma lo zip come lo devo indicare? inoltre dovrebbe avere un comportamento come il floppy od il cd… nel senso che non dovrebbe essere necessario ripetere tutta la procedura ogni volta che cambio supporto…
Nel computer sono presenti un hd ( con più partizioni, ma ora non rileva ) un lettore cd ed un masterizzatore cd e dvd, oltre il classico floppy e lo zip .

Lo Zip ha il collegamento via cavo USB?
Se si puoi provare questo:

apri una finestra di terminale e dai il comando (forse devi diventare prima root, non ricordo)

tail -f /var/log/messages

così ti metti “in ascolto” per i messaggi del kernel.
Collega il cavo dello Zip e ti dovrebbe apparire una o più righe con la descrizione di quello che sta succedendo, tra queste dovresti trovare anche il nome con cui il device viene riconosciuto, usa quello per montare lo Zip.

Per uscire dall’ascolto premi CTRL+C e poi dai il mount con quel /dev che hai trovato.

Io ho un vecchio Zip 100Mb se ho tempo faccio una prova e ti dico.

Ho fatto la prova.
Allora: per vedere i log devi essere root perché l’utente normale non ha il permesso di leggerli.

nella penultima riga si vede che viene visto come /dev/sdb

e questo quando inserisco un disco ZIP

nel mio caso il disco è formattato con MacOS 9 e ha 5 partizioni, da sdb1 a sdb5

Una volta visto queste informazioni monti il disco con mount

Io ho provato con Fedora 8 ma il sistema è lo stesso anche con versioni più recenti

la pagina mi ha interpretato il codice in qualche modo e dove avevo messo il grassetto per evidenziare le scritte appare la voce “strong” che non è roba del kernel

mi son dimenticata di specificare che il driver Zip è montato direttamente sulla piastra madre, nel case… quindi non è collegato via usb…
Fedora10 lo"vede" lo elenca fra le risorse del computer, ma al momento di aprirlo segnala che non può “montarlo”…

sono assolutamente necessarie le informazioni del kernel in dmesg.
il montaggio è analogo ad un disco rigido.
