Verificare quale SATA controller è supportato dal mio pc

Buongiorno a tutti, sto meditando di regalarmi un SSD in vista del Natale e come da titolo volevo capire come verificare se sono su SATA 2 o SATA 3.
Ho provato a dare questi comandi:

La cosa che mi lascia perplesso è che sebbene il mio SATA Controller dovrebbe supportare SATA 3, poi dmesg mi dice ata1: SATA link up 3.0 Gbps (SStatus 123 SControl 300) . Il che mi fa pensare che sono su SATA 2.

Sembrerebbe un SATA III visto che parla di 6 Gbps.
Comunque se posti il modello della scheda madre si può essere più precisi.

Ho fatto una piccola verifica e penso che comunque il problema non si ponga.
Praticamente esistono solo SSD SATAIII che comunque sono perfettamente compatibili con tutte le interfacce SATA precedenti.

Grazie per la risposta :wink: Comunque sapevo che sono compatibili, però se fossi su SATA 2 a quel punto eviterei di comprare un SSD di fascia alta che comunque non posso sfruttare al massimo.

Personalmente, mi sembra che la differenza di prezzo tra un SSD sata2 (supposto che se ne trovino ancora) e sata3 siano talmente ridotte, che non vale la pena porsi il problema. Io ho comprato un SSD sata3 pur avendo un controller sata2, e mi sembra che vada benissimo (dopo 30 secondi dall’avvio di grub ho accesso pieno al desktop).

Mi sono spiegato male; intendevo questo: non vale la pena spendere 50 euro in più per un SSD con prestazioni più elevate che non posso comunque sfruttare essendo limitato da SATA 2.
Poi è chiaro che l’eventuale SSD che andrei a comprare sarebbe comunque SATA 3, però mi orienterei su qualcosa di più economico rispetto ad un Samsung 850 Pro ad esempio.
Comunque avevo già visto dei link simili, purtroppo alla Asus sembra che non si siano manco posti il problema di inserirlo nelle specifiche…

OK confermo è SATAIII

http://www.sceltanotebook.it/asus-k55vd-sx033v-15.6-con-i7-3610qm-e-610m.html ho trovato che il Chipset è lo HM76

http://www.intel.it/content/www/it/it/chipsets/performance-chipsets/mobile-chipset-hm76.html è chiaramente indicato che questo chipset ha 2 porte SATAIII e 4 porte SATAII.
Spererei che quelli della ASUS abbiano collegato lo HD su una porta SATAIII.

Sull’intelligenza di quelli della ASUS mi permetto di esprimere qualche dubbio (la mia motherboard ha un controller che supporta AHCI, a cui sono collegati gli hard disk interni, e uno che non lo supporta, collegato ad una porta esata. Quindi potrei aprire il case e staccare o attaccare gli hard disk interni a caldo, ma se accendo quello esterno devo riavviare).

Ach, mi fai venire i dubbi!!!

Guardando nei dati dello lshw si vede che il disco installato è uno http://www.storagereview.com/hitachi_travelstar_z5k500_review_hts545050a7e380 che effettivamente è SATAII.
Ora la domanda è lo hanno fatto per risparmiare o perché la porta è realmente SATAII, è impossibile dare una risposta certa alla domanda.

Per curiosità guardavo giusto questa mattina l’evoluzione degli SSD in commercio.
Ci sono degli ibridi 120GB SSD 1TB HD della WD che non sembrano niente male a prezzi intorno ai http://www.trovaprezzi.it/categoria.aspx?libera=WD1001X06XDTL&id=143&prezzomin=&prezzomax=.
Il Samsung 840EVO costa circa 370€ ed il 350PRO 540€.

Penso che comunque qualsiasi cosa tu possa comprare di questi tempi, persino gli HD normali, sarà per forza SATAIII ed in ogni caso è meglio avere un collo di bottiglia in meno che uno in più.
